I really like the Adam, it’s a handsome little car. Too bad it would fail miserably in the US.

But it shouldn’t, it (before Vauxhall and Opel were sold to PSA) could’ve been GMs (Buicks) vehicle to go against the Fiat 500.
There ’s even a slightly lifted one with plastic around the wheelarches and sills.

The 500 hasn’t exactly been a massive success in the US though:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Compare to the Fiesta, which didn’t sell well enough for Ford to keep it around (and yet sold vastly better than the 500)
:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
The way Americans buy cars, I just don’t think there’s room for much competition in the subcompact/city car space, that market can barely sustain itself even with very limited competition.

Unfortunately, t he 500 has not really been a success in the US.

Good point. I always thought the 500 sold a lot better than those numbers, then again I thought that of the Fiesta.

Where do you get your data?

Sorry should have credited it. This is from:
http://carsalesbase.com/us-car-sales-data/fiat/fiat-500/
and
http://carsalesbase.com/us-car-sales-data/ford/ford-fiesta/
I don’t know where they get their data (I’d assume from the manufacturer’s publicly available reporting), but it looks good to me.

Oh I wasn’t disputing the data. Its readily available from manufacturers. Its nice to have a single source for it. Thanks.
